Bath

它的同声传译SimultaneousInterpretation属于EuropeanStudies&ModernLanguages（欧洲研究和现代语言），它的专业名称是：MAinInterpretingandTranslating，分为两个方向：1.以英语为母语的人学的（Path1allowsstudentswithEnglishastheirAlanguagetooffertwootherlanguages-fromChinese,French,German,Italian,Japanese,RussianandSpanish-workingonlyintoEnglish）；2.英语为母语的或者以中文、法语、德语、意大利语、俄语和西班牙语为母语的人，以学习英语与自己母语的互相翻译。

入学要求是：1.GoodHonorsDegree(平均分80分以上)；2.语言要求：雅思7.0，单科不低于6.0。有专门的ChineseStream，另外，在满足了上述基本要求后，学生还要经过学校的口语和书面语的筛选和面试，以保证学校的录取人员的高水平。这个专业只招收最多24个人，小班上课（6-10人），学校会提供可能的实习机会。而且，读完一年的课程后，学生还要经过考试以判定得到MA学位还是Diploma。

请注意，同属于EuropeanStudies&ModernLanguages系的还有另外一个与翻译相关的专业MAinTranslationandProfessionalLanguageSkills，但是这个专业是为英语为母语的人设的，不适合中国人读，而且它也不包含同声传译课程，而是主要偏重于translation,editingandrevision,préciswriting,liaisoninterpretingandproofreading.Theprogrammealsocoversreal-worldskillssuchastranslationmanagementandsettingupinbusinessasatranslator。

Newcastle

它的语言学的排名是第三，仅次于牛津、剑桥。由于它的语言学太强了，它对申请者的要求也相应地来说最高，比Bath还高，而且它只接受雅思成绩。它的语言要求到雅思要求到7.5，单科不低于7.0，而且必须要面试。除此之外，它还需要申请者的二外达到expert水平，即精通。

Newcastle的SimultaneousInterpretation隶属于SchoolofModernLanguages(现代语言系)，这个系下属十二个专业（InternationalFilm:History,TheoryandPracticeMAandPGDip；InterpretingMA（两年制，第一年是GraduateDiploma,若满足了入学条件，则进入第二年的MA课程，目标是在市场、商业、科技、国际关系和传媒方向的翻译）；

InterpretingandTranslatingStudiesIntegratedPhD（博士学位，3-4年，要有翻译方面的硕士Dip或MA，中英方面）；

LatinAmericanInterdisciplinaryStudiesMA；LinguisticsandLanguageAcquisitionMA（一年，侧重于语言学和研究技巧）；

LinguisticsofEuropeanLanguagesMA；

ModernLanguagesMLitt;MPhil;PhD；

ProfessionalTranslatingforEuropeanLanguagesMA；

TranslatingGraduateDiploma；TranslatingMA（两年制，同Interpreting）；

TranslatingandInterpretingMA；

TranslationStudiesMA（倾向于研究方面，要学两年，第一年只能拿一个Diploma，若符合条件才能进入下一年的MA课程）），可见其语言学方面的强势。而我们要申请的SimultaneousInterpretation在TranslatingGraduateDiploma里，而不是MA，而要得到MA，则要在TranslatingGraduateDiploma之后再读MATranslatingandInterpreting课程。而这个Diploma课程的入学要求是：YouneedaBAdegreewithaminimumaverageof75percent(orGPA2.75)onyourtranscriptoranupper-second-classHonorsdegreeorhigher.Non-degreeholders,suchasholdersofJuniorCollegeDiplomas,shouldhavethreeyears’relevantworkexperience.NativespeakersofChineseorJapaneserequireanEnglishlanguagescoreofatleastIELTS7.0,withnolessthan6.0inanyoneskill.口语和写作不低于6.5。Newcastle适合想要读两年得到MA的申请者。

Leeds

Leeds有自己的TranslationStudies系，有六门不同的MA课程，其中有Simultaneoustranslating课程包含在ConferenceInterpretingandTranslationStudies里，要求是IELTS(Academic)scoreof6.5withatleast7.0inspeakingand6.0inallothercomponents，Academicentryreq：UsuallyaBA(Honours)degree,2:1（80分以上）classificationorequivalentinalanguage-basedsubject.还要参加考试。

Salford

索尔福德的同传课程包含在MA/PgDipInterpretingandTranslating这门课程里，但是这门课程主要面向以英语、法语、德语和西班牙语为母语的申请者，如果不是以这几门语言为母语的申请者，则需提供证据证明自己的英语非常高的熟练度。它的官网上并没说明这个熟练度的程度，即雅思成绩。

总体来说，Salford的语言系SchoolofLanguages还是很强的，光硕士学位课程就有七门，其中还有专门针对中英文互译的课程。但是simultaneousinterpretation同声传译这门课是包含在InterpretingandTranslating的选修课程里的，而且没有中文方向的，所以不适合中国人去读。适合中国人读的是：MA/PgDipChinese/English/ChineseTranslation和MA/PgDipChinese/English/ChineseTranslationwithInterpreting。

SalfordisamemberofPLUG(ProfessionalLanguagesatUniversitiesGroup)andrecognisedasaproviderofinterpretersandtranslatorsbytheEuropeanCommissionInterpretingService(SCIC)andtheForeignandCommonwealthOffice(FCO)。

布莱尔的贴身翻译林超伦在校教同传。同传课程在MAConferenceInterpretingTechniques里。

EntryRequirements：Youmusthaveauniversitydegree,athoroughunderstandingoftwoorthreepassive©languagesandanexcellentcommandofyourmothertongue(orAlanguage).Wealsoconsiderapplicationsfromthosewithasecondactive(B)language,withorwithoutaC.Aspiringinterpretersshouldalsohaveabroadgeneraleducation,analyticalskillsandaninterestincurrentaffairs,alongwithflexibility,staminaandtheabilitytoworkunderpressure.

MABilingualTranslation，有中文方向，要求本科毕业，或者有相关工作经验，雅思6.5。

Middlesex

在SchoolofArtandEducation系里。专门为中国学生设计的同传课程。Unlikemanysuchcourses,theMAInterpretingconcentratesontraininginterpretersanddoesnotincludetranslationmodules.

要求：TypicalstudentswillbegraduatesinEnglishlanguagewithagoodknowledgeoflinguisticsandpreferablysomeexperienceofinterpretingortranslating.要参加考试。
